Biography....
Peter Seiffert studied at the Musikhochschule of his hometown Düsseldorf. His first engagement was at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein; at the same time he was awarded the first prize at the singing competition of the Deutscher Musikrat.
Opera and concert guest performances all over Europe and television appearances followed.
Peter Seiffert is a German tenor.
His engagement as Lohengrin at the Deutsche Oper Berlin marked the beginning of his international career. He is a regular guest at the Bavarian State Opera Munich where he sang all the important roles of his repertoire. There he was appointed Bayerischer Kammersänger in 1992.
His repertoire encompasses both the roles of the dramatic German and Italian repertoire.
His concert and opera activities took him to all the important musical centres of the world like the Metropolitan Opera New York, Los Angeles Opera, San Francisco Opera, Opera Châtelet in Paris, Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Teatro alla Scala Milan, Teatro Real Madrid, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Berlin State Opera
