Rekha: The Untold Story is a Indian biographical book by Yasser Usman, detailing the life of Indian film actress Rekha.

The book chronicles her birth to South Indian actors Gemini Ganesan and Pushpavalli, which generated rumors in the media at the time, her well-publicised marriage to Delhi-based industrialist Mukesh Agarwal, who died by suicide in seventh months of marriage, and her fifty-year-long acting career.

In October 1990, just seven months after their wedding, Aggarwal committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan, allegedly using Rekha's.

She began wearing sindoor even before her marriage to Mukesh Aggarwal, and after his passing, she has continued to wear it.

Rekha spoke about the tragedy of her husband Mukesh Agarwal's suicide in a very old interview, reflecting on the emotional turmoil she faced.

Mukesh left a suicide note, saying he did not blame anyone, and certainly not Rekha, for his tragic end, however that didn't stop the Indian.

Rekha's husband, Mukesh Agarwal committed suicided a few months after their wedding.

After the success of his first book, Rajesh Khanna: The Untold Story of India's First Superstar (), Usman was motivated to write a biography about Rekha. He collected archives of pres magazines and her interviews at the National Film Archive of India.
